This Compact, low profile side entry downlight is specifically designed to suit common CFL globes.
The Jupiter downlight comes complete with a fully enclosed heat sink shielded lamp holder and a frosted glass diffuser.

This kit also includes a 15W dimmable Compact Flourescent Globe.
The Globe has a rated life of 10,000 hours and is dimmable from 100% to 25%.

12 Month Warranty

The fitting comes with 12 month replacement warranty.
If you have any problems within this period simply contact Brilliant Lighting and they will take care of the warranty.

With the bulb included, this is great value for money and the horizontal base makes it suitable for shallow ceiling cavities. However, the dimmer function is less noticeable than we had hoped. It works, but it's just not as effective as non-energy-saving halogens.

What dimmable CFL's can be fitted in these and do they require a heatshield to be legal?

Hi

They come supplied with a 15W Dimmable globe but most other 15 - 20W globes will fit into these.
They dont require a heat sheild as they are fluorescent but just check with your electrician just to make sure.

Hi, I need to connect 4 of Jupiter 4" dimmable 15W lights to a dimmer. Can only one single Clipsal 32E 450TM is enough for all the 4 such lights?

ARE THEY SUITABLE FOR NARROW ROOF CAVITIES, IE LOW HEAT, AS NORMAL DOWNLIGHTS DON'T WORK IN MY CEILING AS THEY OVERHEAT

What type of globe is supplied as standard and are alternative globes available ?

Hi.

It comes supplied with a 15W dimmable flourescent globe.
However you can just just about any globe up to aboud 18W  (depending on globe size)

What sort of globe are you after.

My electrician asked me something about how these attach or connect (can't remember the terms he used). I thought you just wired this stuff up. Is there anything unusual or special about how these are wired up? Thanks.

Hi.

It is really simple. The wires just get attached to the back of the fitting.
There is nothing special or unusual about this.
