Even the electrician who installed it was impressed with the fan, although he did say the wiring was a bit more complicated than most fans. Once installed, the fan is a lot bigger than you realise, but it runs very quietly and smoothly and creates a lot of air flow.

Our main living area is very large with a high cathedral ceiling and we wanted something reversible that we could use mainly in winter to push warm air down from the high ceiling. We have two of the fans in this area. So far I am extremely happy with these fans. They are VERY quiet and seem to work effeciently at the required task. We were also concerned with the amount of light that the fans would put out and put in an extra light, however they are quite a good light too. I would say they are good value for money and they are also a nice looking fan. We haven't had a chance to try them out in summer yet, but I am pretty confident that they will perform well - perhaps even negating the need for the evaporative air conditioning.

To get a comparable fan, you would need to spend a LOT more. I need to replace another light in the house with a fan/light and it will, most definitely, be another one of these. Note: the fan does have laminate blades and not aluminium (my preference as alu moves air much better) but this does not take away from how good this fan is.

Our electrician found installation to be quite simple and it took him just over one hour to install. Sadly when the unit arrieved it was found that the fluoro was broken , no doubt in transit, and Martec was not helpful with a replacement. It leaves one therefor a little apprehensive with regard to Martec "afterservice".

It looks contempory, with a retro feel. The craftmanship in the finish of this product is next to none that I have seen. I have the ceiling fan in a 35 sqm studio apartment that has a 2.5 m cement ceiling. The ceiling fan runs silently providing excellent airflow. The dimmable light works very well and is a soft, yet sufficient light. I have the remote wall mounted and it is very easy to use. I like the delay feature on the remote that turns the light off 3 min after pressing. My electrician was very impressed with the ease of installation. He said that it was the first time he had come across a light tube with capacity to dim. I would not hesitate in recommending this product to anyone.

What is the height from bottom of glass to ceiling. Will it be OK for 2.4m ceiling height?

These fans are about 330mm from the bottom of the glass to the ceiling and will suite a 2,4m high ceiling.

Unfortunately this fan only comes in this style. They do not make it without a light.

I need to install a new fluoro as the old one is US, but I am unable to remove the cover. The instructions for the fan disappeared with the Electrician. How do I get the silver cover off &/or the plastic cover off to get at the fluoro.

Hi,

If you have the Envirofan T6 and want to access the fluoro, you simply turn the diffuser about 90 degrees counter-clockwise and it will release from the silver base.

These have been known to be very tight and may need a very light tap to loosen the glass diffuser.

I would like to know if the blades are also brushed nickel. If not what are they made of?

They are made from Marine Grade Plywood and painted with silver and then covered in a lacquer coating.
