Hello There, I need 5 x Celing Fan with light built in for a block of small brick units with not very high ceilings. Can you please tell me the total distance from ceiling to bottom of the light? Which budget model has the shortest distance from ceiling to bottom of light (for vertially challeneged unit!) Thank You Paul
Asked by Paul Petroff from Toowong, Brisbane - 21 Feb

Hi.

It would be around 320mm.
In the budget range this would be about the closest you are going to get.

I am looking at retro fitting this unit into a number of bedrooms. Will we need to run additional wiring to a wall switch or is the existing single wall lightswitch and remote sufficient?
Asked by Michael Dick from Perth WA - 25 Feb

Hi.

You don't have to run any extra wiring. All the fan needs is power.
The remote will run the rest.

Hi there Do the remote controls have DIP switches (and also in the fan) to ensure they wont interfere with each other in close range? Also, do the remotes come with a wall bracket to attach them to a wall? i need to order for a client today so an immediate response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Asked by Amanda Stevens from Brisbane - 03 Mar

Hi.

No they all use the same setting, however these use in Infra-Red remote (like a TV).
For them to work you need to point the remote at the fan. So if you have more then one fan in a room just have the receivers facing different ways so that they don't interfere with each other.

The remotes do not have a wall bracket.

I would be installing this fan where the current ceiling light is. Can you please advise how the wall switch works. Is there a new wall switch that replaces the current light switch which will work the light and fan separately?
Asked by Maureen hardy from sutherland NSW - 07 May

Hi.

You can use the wall switch to turn power on or off to the fan if you want, our you can by-pass it all together.
As this fan has a remote there is no need for a wall controller.

Is it an outdoor fan for under patio
Asked by neil dyas from kallangur qld - 23 May

Hi.

It is not designed for outdoors, although i do have a number of customers that have used it in a Patio area.
The only thing to be aware of is that the warranty won't cover it for use outdoors.

Cheers
Travis

Are you able to change the light fittings on this model, to accomodate a 3 light fitting.
Asked by Amanda from Hunter Valley NSW - 26 May

Hi

You could probably add one to it but, they should fit.

The fan however comes complete with this light so you would need to un-wire this one and wire in another one.
You would probably be best just to get a fan that does not have a light and add the sort of light you would like.

Cheers

What type of globes and what is the strongest I can install? I would like to purchase fans with additional globes. Thanks
Asked by Therese from Wahroonga - 20 Jun

Hi

I would recommend 15W fluorescent globes for use with these fans.

Thanks

Ihave a bedroom and living room both 18ft x 20ft what size blade is best for this size room. Rob Stephenson
Asked by Rob Stephenson from TUMUT NSW - 06 Aug

Hi

In a room that size I would say a 52” or 56” fan would do the job.

How quiet are these fans and do they wobble much
Asked by kath from warrawong nsw - 15 Oct

Hi

If installed correctly no new fan should ever wobble.
These fans are reasonably quiet.

Thanks

Can the fans be hard wired, because you cannot seem to use the light switch alone for the light
Asked by Dean from Brisbane - 22 Jan

Hi.

Thanks for your email. This fan can only be run via the remote. It can't be hard-wired.

Cheers
Travis

can you tell me is this a 48" or 52" blade and how low does this hang from the ceiling please, do you have any in Rattan with light and control? thank you
Asked by gretha from oakhurst nsw - 29 Jan

Hi.

It is a 48". It has a hangsure canopy (ball and joint type) that screws into the ceiling.
We don't have any rattan style fans at the moment.

Cheers
Travis

can this fan be installed straight to the power wires that come of the ceiling, I do have a fan there that is already installed like that and just works on the remote
Asked by gretha from oakhurst nsw - 30 Jan

Hi.

Yes that is correct, it just needs power.
The remote takes care of the rest.

Cheers
Travis

can i buy a spare remote? What is the cost
Asked by Debbie from Tamborine - 30 Jan

Hi.

Sorry, the remotes are not available as an part.
That being said last time I did see one they were nearly as expensive as a new fan.

So it almost works out cheaper just to buy a new fan then the remote on it's own.

Cheers
Travis

Hi If we install this fan where the existing light is, does this mean that we can't turn the light on with the light switch? That we have to use the remote only? Also, how low does this fan hang down? I need to be careful as my son has a bunk bed. Thanks Jody
Asked by Jody from Adelaide - 26 Feb

Hi Jody,

Yes, you would have to use the remote control to turn the light on.
The length of fan from ceiling to the light kit would be approximately 320mm.

Regards,
Ash

We are having trouble removing the glass cover from the fan to change the globe. Can you tell us how to do this please.
Asked by Diane from Woy Woy - 14 May

Hello Diane,

To remove the cover you just pull down on the glass as it is just attached by clips.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks
