Darch Review of 'LED 3x3W 9W GU10 240V Globe' - 21 Jul After using energy saving lights I can say thete 9 watt Globes are a lot better and brighter than the 13watt globes they have replaced. I have over a hundred energy saving lights in my new home and will replace them all with led globes ASAP. Pins W. Australia. |

NSW Review of 'LED 3x3W 9W GU10 240V Globe' - 22 Feb Cool White gives out a bright light (a little harsh). Never- the -less we will be replacing our halogens with these or the 5W version. They seem to give out a similar degree of light. (Just wish there was one in between the Cool White and the Warm White!) |

Hi.
It is because wattage has no bearing on light output or Lumen's (Lm) as it is refereed to. It comes down the the LED Chip that is used, better chips produce more light per watt.
You need to look at the Lumen output, this is the key.
You will also see on the site a New 8W globe that is about $70.00 this blows all the other out of the water including the 9 Watt.
9W lumen output 320Lm
5W Lumen output 390Lm
8W Lumen output 505Lm
The 8W globe can be used to replace existing downlights.
Hope this helps in your decision making.
Cheers
Travis
