This LED globe is ideal for use in any existing fitting that utilises MR16 halogen globes.

We recomend using an LED driver or iron core transformer to run this globe.
It will work on some Electrconic Transformers.
It can also be dimmed if used with and LED driver or iron core transformer.

It has a rated life of 50,000 hours.
By using this globe you will dramatically reduce your energy consumption.

They certainly run a lot cooler and are more instant when you switch them on but they are only about 60% of brightness of standard downlights and with only a 45 degree spread leave dark areas on our kitchen bench. Wife not ovrely happy but well keep them in there until I find a brighter cost-effective option....

Yep these are dimmable.
if you have an electronic transformer or iron core transformer then they will work with them.

I would like to change current halogen downlights 12 v in my kitchen. Are these lights suitable and more importantly bright enough.

I would recommend these lights for mood lighting lighting, media rooms or garden lighting.
if you want something bright for your kitchen but still bright enough i would recommend our 18W fluorescent downlight kits.
