18 Watt Fluorescent Energy Saving Adjustable Downlight Kit
Cut your electricity costs by using these 18W Eco Friendly FLUORESCENT Downlights. They use 1/5 the power of a standard 50W halogen globe and lasts up to 5 times an long. The light output is near equal that of a halogen globe and these globes use the same size frame that your normal downlights use, which means it's easy to swap out your existing costly halogen lights and replace them with these. Best of all the globes connect straight to 240V so there is no need for a transformer.

Hi,
Warm white is similar to an incandescent globe, daylight is a very white light and cool white is in between.
Thanks,

Hi,
If you are wanted to illuminate an areas of the home that require lighting for reading ect I would suggest 15W or higher and use the lower watt models for feature lighting.
The price difference is based on the globes. Each lighting kit contains the same frame but different globes which have extra cost associated with their manufacture.
These are fluorescent globes run at a much lower temperature than halogen which allows them to be more energy efficient. Australian Standards don't require them to be installed with a heat shied.
Thank you,

Hi.
You would probably need more of them because you will loose a lot of light at that height.
As everyone's opinion of "what is enough light" is different, my suggest would be to get just one and try it out to see if it would be suitable for you needs.

Hi.
No, it is not "instant On". It just reaches full power much faster then the older versions of these globes.
