14w Fluorescent Enery Saving Complete Downlight Kit
Cut your electrically costs by using these modern stylish 14W Eco Friendly FLUORESCENT Downlights. They are specifically designed to replace your excising halogen downlights. This kit fits both 70mm and 90mm cutouts and comes complete with a 14w Super-Mini spiral compact flourescent globe. These kits have an 80% energy saving over low voltage downlights and the globe will last up to 10 times longer.
The Kit comes complete and ready to install.
Best of all this downlight kit connects straight to 240v so there is no need for a transformer.

Hi
These take an Edison Screw type globe and the 13W ones take a GU10 globe.
In my opinion these will produce better light out put.

Hi,
The 14W gives a wider spread of light then the halogen and uses less energy as it runs cooler.

Hi.
I have found that these 14W kits are nearly as bright as the 18W ones. 14W is the largest size globe that will fit into these. The main difference between the 2 is that these are an instant on type fluoro whereas the 18W ones will take several seconds to reach full brightness.

The baffle, terminal block and lampholder are not made of metal.
All other parts are metal.

The globes supplied with this are not dimmable however you could put dimmable globes in it at a later stage.

It is very easy to replace it just unscrews out like a normal globe.

It is a fluorescent globe and as such produces next to no heat. No heat guard is required for this fitting.
