I understand this product was updated earlier this year to "The Outdoor II" - Model No. 24389. Can you please advise as to whether you now stock this newer model? Thanks.

Yes it was replaced with a new version just recently.

We have just sold out the last of the old model and I will be updating this page to the new model today or tomorrow.
We have the new ones in stock.

Is this fan suitable for a bedroom which is close to the the sea? I notice that it only gets a 3 out of 5 for quietness & will that be too noisy?

Hi.

Yes that should be fine. You may just want to wipe the fan down every now and again so stop the salt air possibly rusting the body.

Quietness is a matter of opinion, I have seen one of these on and found it very quiet so i wouldn't think it should be a problem for a bedroom.

Are we able to extend the fan to drop it down from the narrower part of a pitched roof?

Yes you can add an extension rod if you want.
