What Is A DIY Batten Fix Fitting?

A batten fix is a very common light fitting, it is simply a single lamp holder connected/wired to the ceiling or wall.

These DIY (do it yourself) fittings are shades designed to cover a batten fix to add personality and design to your room.

The main benefit of DIY fittings of this nature is that they do not require an electrician to install, therefore, saving you money (providing there is an existing batten fix).

Installing a DIY to a batten fix fitting takes three easy steps:

1. Unscrew the sleeve at the bottom of the batten fix.
2. Slide the DIY into place.
3. Screw the sleeve back on to hold the DIY in place.
