Need to replace a fan or light fitting? - We offer a $149 flat-rate service!

Replacing or updating a fan or light fitting has never been easier with Lighting Illusions Electrical’s flat rate $149* installation service. The flat-rate service is based on replacing old with new. This service does not include running any new wiring or altering circuits however if you do have a need for this service fill in the below enquiry form below and we will provide a free onsite quote.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3 with the Lighting Illusions Electrical booking system:

  1. Purchase your electrical voucher in-store at the time of purchasing your new ceiling fan or surface mount light fitting(s)
  2. Lighting Illusions Electrical will contact you within 48hours to book in your installation
  3. A licensed electrician will be onsite within 10 business days to install your new ceiling fan(s) and/or other surface mount light fittings.

What is a Surface Mount Light Fitting?

Surface mount fittings are lights that do not have to be recessed in the ceiling, some examples are listed below:

  • Pendant lights
  • Close to ceiling lights
  • Oyster lights
  • Crystal pendant lights

Lighting Illusions Electrical Installation Service:

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • If existing wiring does not comply with current regulations, the installer is obligated to update to ensure it complies. Costs associated with this will be treated as additional works and signed off in advance.
  • Manufacturers product warranty still applies for installation, the extended warranty is activated on the day after the Manufacturer's warranty ceases and is an additional 12 months.
  • Voucher is not redeemable for cash
  • Unless otherwise indicated, voucher expires 3 years from the date of issue
  • The voucher can only be purchased instore
  • For the Voucher to be valid the work must be deemed as a Like for like replacement where no additional wiring and connection required.
  • All charges for additional work are payable at the time of the work conducted (credit card or direct deposit) Cash is not accepted
  • If we cannot install the product a refund will be given for the installation service.

CEILING FANS INSTALLATION SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Like for Like Replacement - no additional wiring and connection required.
  • Must be sufficient support (i.e. Timber or metal batten)
  • Ceiling height must allow a minimum in 2.1 m from the bottom for the fan to the floor
  • Must have an existing isolation switch (such as a light switch)  on the wall
  • Extension Rod installation max. length 900mm

SURFACE MOUNTED FITTINGS INSTALLATION SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Like for Like Replacement - no additional wiring and connection required.
  • Must be sufficient support (i.e. Timber or metal batten)
  • Light fitting may be altered due to the cable entry

INCLUSIONS

  • All cost for travel to site up to 30kms
  • Includes safety walk around and check
  • All work will be carried out in accordance with AS:3000 by a licenced Electrician
  • Installation as described above for your chosen service(s)
  • The Installer will provide you with a Safety Certificate or other such compliances as is required in the relevant state.

EXCLUSIONS

  • Patching and painting of pre-existing marks such as drill holes, scratches and scuff marks. New products may not cover the pre-existing marks due to differences in the dimension of the new product - this is not covered.
  • Any work on asbestos material
  • Working from heights requiring safety and access equipment (Includes double height voids and stairwells, or any height above 3.5m)
  • Moving any heavy furniture items (should we need to move furniture we don’t take responsibility for any damages)
  • Rubbish removal service is not included as standard but is available for an additional $49 charge
  • Running new cables and supporting materials will incur additional charges and will require the electrician to bring your current electrical installation up to code.
  • Complex dressing such as crystal fittings.

PLEASE BE AWARE ADDITIONAL CHARGES WILL BE INCURRED IF;

  • The existing wiring does not comply with current regulations, the installer is obligated to update to ensure it complies. Costs associated with this will be treated as additional works and signed off in advance.
  • The ceiling height is greater than 3.5 metres or where special safety/access equipment is required (Includes double height voids and stairwells).
  • The product weighs over 15kgs or requires two people for installation.
  • If the installer cannot access the site or the fitting or parts of the fitting are missing, a call out fee of $100 will be charged.
  • The installation is not deemed a “like for like replacement.” such as where additional wiring and connection is required.
  • In the circumstance that additional items may be required to install the like for like replacement, these will be discussed before we start work.
  • Cancellation is not made 48 hours prior to installation, a fee of $100 will be charged.

UPGRADES TO THE STANDARD VOUCHER SERVICE / ADDITIONAL SERVICES AVAILABLE

  • Rubbish Removal flat fee of $49
  • Premium  (within business hours) call out service to allow for specific time and date requests flat fee of $99
  • Complex product dressing such as crystal fittings - to be quoted onsite contact electrical.
  • Additional new work outside the voucher - to be quoted onsite contact electrical.
  • Fixing and or replacing power points and light switches - to be quoted onsite contact electrical.
  • Running new cables and supporting materials - to be quoted onsite contact electrical.

BEFORE CONFIRMING A BOOKING YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL HAVE;

  • Read and understood all of these terms and conditions
  • The product at the site ready to be installed
  • Confirmed the product is suitable for the application and complies with all manufacturers specifications
  • Ensured the area is accessible, clear and safe to work in (including removing furniture etc)
  • Ensured parking is available for the Electrician allowing for 2.5 metre height  if underground
  • Your floor adequately protected suitable for equipment used for electrical installation such as tools and ladders ready for the job
  • All pets and children kept away from the work area during the job
  • An Authorised Person onsite at the time of the job
  • The homeowner's authority for the works to be undertaken.
  • Understood that we will need to turn the power off to the circuit being working on and in some cases the whole house.
