I bought this fan as it was on special withy a great discount. It replaces a 5-year old alfresco chrome fan which was not big enough.
The fan itself was easy to install and the fan blades easy to fit as the screws were accessed from underneath and fully open. Other fans I have installed have a very fiddly and awkward hatch in the top to access the screws - especially difficult when the fan is on the ceiling hook!
The connection was strange, there is a terminal block on the ceiling bracket, but the wires from the body of the fan were very long and needed to be screw connected to the terminal block - the nicely fitted crimp lugs on the end of the wire were useless as they were cut off.
The fan controller/light switch block was very annoying. It was set up on the assumption the ceiling fan included a light (it did not) and it was vertical mounting, it was horizontal. After almost breaking the plate to get the switch out I realised the switch was not useful as it only had two terminals and my light switch was 'two way'. Luckily I could use the existing switch I had but had to cut off the redundant wire to the switch supplied with the fan.
So, while I am happy with the fan itself, I am very disappointed with the fan controller/light switch - it is based totally on price (ie cheap) with no thought about quality or application.
